Who We Are

TEDxChannelside District is an independently organized TED event where bold ideas meet real impact.

We exist to amplify voices and ideas that awaken possibility — ideas that challenge limits, stir imagination, and inspire lasting change.

On October 24, 2026, over 1,000 guests will gather at the iconic Straz Center in downtown Tampa for a full-day TEDx experience filled with transformative talks, performances, and moments of connection that echo far beyond the red dot.

Every detail — from the curation of speakers to the atmosphere of creativity and collaboration — is designed to spark conversation, connection, and community. TEDxChannelside District isn’t just an event; it’s a movement rooted in Tampa Bay’s heartbeat — celebrating courage, innovation, and the power of ideas to shape the future.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

Our event is called TEDxChannelside District where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxChannelside District event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
